What a clean wholesale order extract actually contains

Before we draw a single chart, we need order lines that agree with your trade account list. A useful extract usually carries account code, SKU, quantity ordered, quantity shipped, order date, and promised delivery date. Optional but valuable: depot code, sales channel, and list price at order time.

Common breaks

Broken depot codes are the usual culprit. If five depots share recycled codes from a merger, fill rates by site will look inventively wrong until someone reconciles the map. Missing promised dates force us to drop on-time measures rather than invent them.

A practical minimum

One full trading season is enough for a Seasonal Order Pattern Brief. Flagship reviews prefer twelve to twenty-four months so account heat is not dominated by a single promotion.
